The Hidden Story of Purim   $4.00

Purim: The role of Achashverosh and Haman in the rebuilding of the Bais Hamikdash (Second Temple), and their place in Persian history.

Probably one of the most festive times during the Jewish calendar, if not the most festive time, Purim is not only a celebration of the miracle of the survival of the Jewish people, despite the concerted efforts to destroy them, but. it is also a time of reflection regarding G-dís continuing, if not always readily visible, hand in Jewish history. Although on the surface, the story of Purim appears to be relatively simple, below the surface there are levels of progresive complexity, centering around the building and cessation of the building of the Bais HaMikdash, the Temple, and the historic figures who were most responsible for all of this activity and inactivity. This lecture uncovers much of the story behind the story, the hidden roles of Vashti, Haman, Achashverash, Mordechai, and Esther, and how the events of Purim finally led to the rebuilding of the Bais HaMikdash.
